Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan has embarked on a new journey in the corporate world by joining Remark and Herlan as a director, aiming to protect consumers from the health hazards of adulterated cosmetics.

The actor announced his new venture in a grand ceremony held in Dhaka on Saturday.

Vice Chairman Sonia Akter and Managing Director Ashraful Ambia represented Remark, and the event was graced by esteemed directors Shahriar Alam Shuvo, Fariha Alam Prova, Alisa Nawar, Abul Bashar Howlader, Herlan’s CEO Amdadul Haque Sarkar, and actor Mamnun Hasan Emon.

Shakib Khan said “It marks a new beginning for me as I step into the role of the director of an international organisation named Remark HB. This is my new journey.”

Reflecting on the initiative, he stated, “In our pursuit to care for the largest organ of our body, the skin, we often turn to various brightening creams and colour cosmetics. However, if these products are adulterated, they can cause harm instead of enhancing our beauty, potentially leading to serious health issues like skin cancer.”

“With the public’s well-being in mind, I have taken the initiative to introduce authentic cosmetic products through Remark to the country’s market. I am also thrilled to be associated with Herlan, the country’s largest authentic retail cosmetics chain,” the actor added.

Herlan’s CEO Amdadul Haque Sarkar emphasised the company’s relentless efforts to liberate consumers from the health and financial risks associated with counterfeit and smuggled products. “Our primary goal at Herlan is to deliver quality cosmetic products to the majority of cosmetics enthusiasts in the country, addressing these pressing health concerns,” he said.

“We are proud to be part of Superstar Shakib Khan’s visionary initiative, and we believe his grand plan will be widely appreciated globally. Shakib Khan will be able to deliver his exclusive products to consumers across the country through the country’s biggest cosmetic retail chain, Herlan.” he added.

The products of international company Remark will be available in various markets around the world, including the USA, Canada, Australia, the Middle East, Singapore, and Europe.

The import-dependent cosmetics sector is undergoing a transformative shift into an exportable industry with the support of Remark—the world’s largest investment firm boasting an extensive brand portfolio.

Remark collaborates with over 50 skincare and cosmetic brands, including Herlan, Siodil, Nior, Lily, and Blaze O’ Skin, which have already captured the attention of discerning consumers.

In a bid to enhance accessibility, Herlan is set to unveil new showrooms across the country. By strategically expanding, Herlan aims to deliver authentic and high-quality cosmetic products through thousands of showrooms nationwide.
